Primed
Inspired by house painters happily applying a white primer using their paint rollers and putty knives to prepare the wall before applying the final paint. Seeing them doing this basic process gives me the pure happiness of experiencing a creative moment of the simplicity and beauty of painting in white primer. In this series, I tried to capture and explore this priming process by being in the moment in applying white acrylic paint and gesso using a putty knife over a semi-finished painting that acted as an underpainting. The outcome of it gave my work a fresh new look.
